Her Story – A Video Game Like No Other

her-story-headerHer Story is a beautiful amalgam of the cinema and video game formats…
a remarkable achievement in creating something which is personal, cinematic and playful.
In 1994 a British woman is interviewed seven times.
about her missing husband. This is her story. A crime fiction game with non-linear storytelling, Her Story revolves around a police database full of live action video footage.
It stars Viva Seifert, actress and one half of the band Joe Gideon and the Shark.

This is something special.

The Front Buttoms – You Can’t Help But Sing Along

maxresdefault-2The Front Bottoms are a two-piece indie / pop / acoustic band based out of Bergen County, NJ, USA. The band was formed in 2006 and originally had three members: Brian Sella (vocals, guitar, lyricist), Brian Uychich (keyboard, vocals) and Matt Uychich (drums). However, as of fall 2010, Brian Uychich left the band to concentrate on school full-time. Brian Uychich was replaced by Drew Villafuerte (bass, keys). They have a new Album dropping soon and are lots of fun – a bit conventional some might say but definitely one of the best live bands.

Cream in Shoreditch – This is London Coolness

London has the coolest coffee shops – hands down. Conceived, designed and built by Magnus Reid, the CREAM space is true to the industrial nature of the building, whilst creating an open and welcoming environment through the layout of simple, natural furnishing and fittings. This combination is reflected in the choice of materials – indoor plants surrounding the space soften the concrete counter & floors, the steel structured chairs paired with handwoven seats, and the custom made cement lampshades diffuse soft lighting.Cream10_result1436536960908 cream-canteen-london-1-e1422897405666

PinkFlames – Indie Legends Form A New Band

avatars-000154861244-digxnf-t200x200A brand new London band here, with a cover of one of the most obscure songs ever. Featuring Isabel from Novella and Max from The Proper Ornaments, PinkFlames have been likened around these parts to Broadcast mixed with Brian Jonestown Massacre. The fabulously-titled ‘I’m Just A Star On A Democratic Flag’ was originally written by 60s LA stoners Smiles. It’s their only known song, and DJ Shadow dragged them into the limelight a decade or so ago by including them on ‘Diminishing Returns’. Here, PinkFlames take the track boldly into 2015 – it’s a mesmerising listen. Keep an eye out for their debut shows, which haven’t even been announced yet. Sorry to make it a bit complicated – but here is the Link to the Song
