The WalkCar is the Thing – Forget the Hooverboard
Forget the bloody hooverboard courtesy of Lexus. A Japanese engineer has developed a portable transporter small enough to be carried in a backpack that he says is the world’s first ‘car in a bag’.
Twenty-six-year-old Kuniako Saito and his team at Cocoa Motors recently unveiled the lithium battery-powered “WalkCar” transporter, which is the size of a laptop and resembles a skateboard more than a car.
It reaches top speeds of 10 kilometers per hour (6.2 miles per hour), for distances of up to 12 kilometers (7.4 miles) after three hours of charging.
Its developer says it’s also extremely simple to ride. Once the rider stands on it the WalkCar starts automatically, while simply stepping off stops the vehicle. To change direction, the user just shifts their weight. Go to Kickstarter if you want a piece of this:

Recently accepted into the cfda, victor lytvinenko + sarah yarborough started raleigh denim workshop in 2007 in their hometown, raleigh, nc. the husband-wife team learned the history and techniques of traditional american jeansmaking through a series of informal apprenticeships with former factory workers, patternmakers, and mechanics throughout the state. raleigh denim workshop’s jeans, collection, and accessories, are all produced in the united states with a focus on design, process, material, and craft.
Now they have heir beautiful flagship store in New York and the Raleigh brand is buzzing. The quality is amazing- Theis could be the best jeans in the world – eat your heart out “Seven”…

They built a watch factory in Detroit of all places so they could build the Runwell, a hand-assembled timepiece made from the finest components available in the world. Shinola is the brand and they do make beautiful watches for 500 $ plus. The new Runwell black with Nylon strap is TrendEngel’s favourite.
