OK, yes it’s true. This movie didn’t win the competition of the Zurich Film Festival – but it should have. Life in a Fish Bowl was by far the best movie in the lineup. The icelandic masterpiece – and the islands official entry for the Oscar race 2015 – grabs you where it hurts. There is the innocent mother EIk, the congenial writer Mori and the banker by chance Solvi. They all have something in common – other than living in Iceland. They are struggling with life but try to make the best out of it. Beautifully told the is is real cinema – captivating and yes – entertainig at the same time. Real life – real actors – real cinema.
